An oak and copper french champagne bucket. Stamped Gerard Lafitte-Meilleur Ouvrier de France 1933. This is a competition run every four years in many categories to determine the best craftsmen in France. Lafitte won in 1933. He was famous for making champagne buckets and oak and copper flagons. Oval in shape and in wonderful condition with it’s original tin liner.
